I bought this gadget because I wanted to use the Jambox bluetooth speaker I got for Xmas with my ancient Sony stereo receiver (I wanted to use the bluetooth speaker in the kitchen so I could listen to music in there without wires). After reviewing the available choices, I felt that this was the best one on the market. And it worked like a dream
